How to maximise your savings

Be smart.
Maximise your savings.

By using your Fit Solar installation to its full, you can save up to 70% on your electricity bill

Have a battery to store your solar energy

Any excess power generated can be used at night when the cells are less efficient, meaning you will not use electricity from your supplier saving approximately 28p/KWh.

Have an existing system from another supplier? No problem, you can take advantage of this without affecting your current Feed In Tariff.

Sell all your excess power back to the grid

While suppliers offer a lower rate for the energy you export compared to the rate you pay when buying electricity, you can still make a great saving by selling excess power. Once your home battery storage and electric car (if applicable) are fully charged, any extra energy can be sold back to the grid through the Smart Export Guarantee (SEG), with current rates around 15p per kWh. As a member of the Renewable Energy Consumer Code (RECC) and MCS certified, we ensure you benefit from SEG export payments. By doing so, you could save up to 50%!

Top up your battery off-peak (Economy 7)

Take advantage of low-cost off-peak rates by topping up your battery overnight to use in peak times – for example, the average day rate is 28pKwh with off-peak 7pKwh, saving approx 75%
